so i was going to buy a set of chrome salad shooters for my 94 z28 that just has regular salad shooters. I want to know if GM ever produced camaros with chrome salad shoters as an option. if someone could tell me id appriciate it, thanks -Mike

 

Yes they came from the factory. When I bought my car, the guy I got it from said he had them coat the wheels with chrome as an option from the factory.

but for the most part, you will not find many factory chrome salad shooters..

 

Chrome salad shooters were only an option in '96. I've seen very few of them on the road (besides mine).

How are you so sure? EVERYTHING that I have read, heard, seen indicates it was only an option in 1996. Do you have N98 on your RPO sheet inside the end of the driver side door?

hey don't forget the pic I want to see that seriously...I am going to buy a used salad shooter rim one of these days from a junkyard and sand it down to polished aluminum and then shoot it with clear, I want to see how this looks, also finding a picture of a car with chrome salad shooters is near to impossible for me it seems...I know chrome and thr polished aluminum look are two different things I just want to see a good shot of a 4th gen with chrome ones.

I'm also curipous how this rim will look black with the aluminum left polished and the centter cap left chrome. I want to also do this "test" rim in the same color scheme it is now yet painted a darker shade of grey like the torq thrusts 2 are shaded...maybe a satin grey even...

I am POSITIVE. The guy I bought the car from (original owner) told me he ordered them from the factory, along with the power driver seat and premium sound system.

 

Yea I have only seen a handful of chromed optioned shooters
