Center cap question

I'm new to the board so I don't know if this has been disussed already and I apologize in advance if it was. I own a 2000 silver Z28 and the center caps have lost the red bow ties and some of the color. I replaced them and it happened again. The first time I thought it was a wheel cleaner I was using so on the second set I just washed them with the same soap I washed the car with (Meguiars) and they too lost the bow tie. Before I order another set does anyone know how to prevent this from happening?

If the wheels are silver, and for some reason, I am guessing they are, you can get a decal from Brent Franker that will take care of it. He can put the red bowtie on a silver (99.9% matching the silver of stock rims) decal that fits over the center cap and you will never know the difference.
Or he can make just a Bowtie that you could center up on your centers and and then put some clear coat over maybe.

But Brent's vinyl is top quality - you shouldn't have any problems with it as long as you apply it like he recommends.
