The chrome on my Zr1s is starting to peel and starting to be noticable. I would have never let this happen but when I bought the wheels off my brother they were already peeling. I like the way the black Zr1s look with the polished lip. Is there anyway I can strip and paint the wheels I already have?

 

Yeah, I don't know why you couldn't have someone sand blast the coating off of them. If they don't use too rough of a media, I wouldn't think that it wouldhurt the rim. I wouls then have them powder coated. Also, are they chrome or painted? You first said chrome then paint?

 

They are chrome. I meant to say strip off the chrome.
