I saw an auction on ebay for black chrome Zr1's. Seems like I've seen things in this finish before, but not wheels. Anybody got any pics of a Camaro with black chrome wheels?

I have seen it too, it looks almost like a dark charcoal color with a gloss or semi-gloss finish. It looks good in my opinion.

 

it looks sweet! it's hard to explain, it's black but real shiny kinda chrome, somewhat like anodized coatings. hard to explain without seeing it in person....


what i want to know is who can take my chrome ss wheels and dip them or coat them with this black chrome?!

I would say that it is a powdercoat. I was having some items powdercoated and I saw some rims that the company did for and 03 cobra that were black chrome in the center. It looked very sharp. Just find a powdercoating company that has the black chrome color.

 

it may be a powdercoat technique, first have them chromed then a black candy type thing over it?
