Biggest Tires that can fit on 2002 ten spoke SS wheels?

hey
wheels are 17x9
i have 275/40/17 on there now
can i go bigger?
285 maybe 295?
any ideas?

If you really wanted you could go 315's but they might rub going over bumps, I have put them on an LS1 though. I would recommend the 295 as the biggest you might want without too much trouble.

315/35/17'swork fine, but they have a bit of a bulge. i wouldn't consider them "unsafe", but i wouldn't do any road coarsing onthem.

It is possible to squeeze the 315 on a 9" wide rim. However with all the bulge, you will loose some footprint and gain little to no traction.
