I'm looking at tires for my car again. Budget is $600.
Car will only be driven occasionally (< 100mi/wk) from March to November in Nice Weather. May hit the track once or twice a year.
Options:
275/40/17 BF Goodrich g-Force Sport $600.00
275/40/17 Nitto NT 555 Extreme Performance $576.00
275/40/17 Hankook Ventus V4 ES H105 $536.00

I have the nitto's on my bird in that same size and I love them. When they break loose, they still grip some and don't just blow off, also they hardly make any noise at all when they spin, nor lay down much rubber. Wet grip is pretty good, dry handling is great too, very predictable when they slide, and come back pretty easily too. I'm trying to choose between the 555's and g-force sports when I need tires, but will probably stay with the nitto's since I've learned how the car feels on them.
I have the nittos on the rear and these are awesome tires...they hook very well. They are quite when they break loose. I have not driven in the rain yet with them, so can't comment on that. They are cheaper at onlinetire.com, too
