BFG G-force Drag Radial II
Re: BFG G-force Drag Radial II
I belive that the G force DR II is the new name for the older tread design of the BFG DR. A couple of years ago BFG had the regular DR and the G force DR, which had a different tread design. They since combined the name to call them all G force DRs, but the tread designs stayed different.
The DRII is a great tire which has been around for I think 10 years or so..I started in 1996 with them. They have hooked my car into the 1.60 range to 60' with a 275 40 r17. I have no experience with the newer tread design, but I hear good things, too. The BFGs can be run on the street and at the track and I average 4000/year which about kills them.
I think if you ask around you'll find that the M/T ET DR is by far the best hooking DR period, but its NOT intended for a lot of street use. I'm curious so I'm getting a set for my 16" wheels for racing...
So, to answer your question....I think the BFGs are the best "all around" DR, but MT will probably be a better "track only" tire...
