Better wheels for handling

Two part question :

1.) What size wheel is ideal for handling, a friend of mine told me U really don't gain much if U go from a 17" wheel to a 18" wheel ?

2.) Does anyone know the weight of the 96 WS6 17" aluminum wheels?

Thanks for any help guys !

the gains from 17 to 18's alone isnt going to do that much. Now the tires you stick on those rims is another story.
If you look in the stickes on the top of the page you ll find it. I think the weight is listed with a tire though.

The 18's are going to have stiffer sidewalls because they are going to have less sidewall than a 17 inch tire. Your loosing 5mm of tire for 5mm of rim.
So when you look at how the two rims will respond the 18 will be more responsive because there will be less flex in the sidewall. Understand?
