Best way to protect from theft? 5 locker nuts?

I just got my new wheels, and wow they look great (c-6-z06) , but now I'm a bit scared they or the entire car will be stolen.. My insuance does not cover mods like this or my motor.. Who makes the best locker wheel nuts!

if someone wants your wheels nothing is going to stop them. They will just tow the car. So don't install sonething that going to be a pain in the butt for you. Example five locking lugs per wheel.

I think 5 is overkill...and good luck keeping track of the keys.

I use Gorilla lugs...don't know if they work, since I don't think anyone's tried to steal them yet.

Just a quick note though...whatever lock nuts you get, make sure the key is compatible with your car's jack bar thingy (right hex size). Else, when you go to change a flat..ooops...

Your problem is that you live in Denver, get out of there while you can. One of the most disgusting, crime plagued cities in this country.

I know, I use to live there. I caught 3 stray bullets from a gang-banger drive by when I was 13 walking home from school...I have the scars to back up the story. My family decided to move to Wyoming. Which is a lot more beautiful + peaceful place to live.

I agree, if someone wants your wheels that bad, they will get them. When I worked at the dealership, we had the "master key" sets that we used when a customer would lose their wheel lock key. In that kit, we usually had the key. If all else fails, you can pound a socket over it and remove it that way. Personally, I would stick with a single wheel lock, a good alarm system, and sensibly park your car in good spots when it is not attended and hope for the best.

I have Esurance, and they cover aftermarket. There's something directly on the first page of the policy to add it.

And, yes, I work at a wheel shop - the statement that if someone wants them, they're going to get them, is very true. 5 SEPERATE locking lugs is OVERKILL. If you lose one key, you've got to get the lugs burned or cut off, and you run the risk of having damage to your wheel.

I'd invest in a nice car alarm, and don't be stupid about where you park. Going to the club? Make someone with a crappy car drive. Get a rental. Do something. When I had my Supra I wouldn't leave it anywhere unattended for more than like, two hours, and I live in a -decent- city.
