My son bought a set of ADR rims with the tires included on Ebay. They are only 6 months old and the chrome is coming off so fast they will look like crap and need to have something done by summer. What can be done short of replacing the rims? It is black where the chrome is missing but its not like flaking off its like its so thin of a layer of chome its just gone.

You can have them rechromed, or even go a different route and have them powder coated, or some other type of finish.

Powder coating will be cheaper of the choices and come out still looking good
