97 Z4C wheels question

I have a 1997 z4c 30th anniversary z28 convertible, and when I purchased it chrome wheels were on it. My car does not have the N98 RPO code for chrome wheels, so I purchased a used set of correct white painted wheels. The new set is in need of minor repairs, stripping, and refinishing. My question is, am I better off using these wheels as a donor set and exchanging them for a set that has already been reconditioned, or am I better off having them repaired and refinished by a local company? I purchased the set I have for $200 plus around $90 shipping. Any input to help me out would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: 97 Z4C wheels question

Don't see that there would be much difference between the two paths, assuming the shop that did the repair work was/is reliable in each case.
