96 SS wheels...

are they they same as ZR-1's? my friend just bought an awsome 96 SS and those wheels look so good on that car, but they look like the Zr1 design.
Just curious, thanks

Yep, same design. Only differences are not too important like width and such

Re: 96 SS wheels...

As was mentioned, they look the same but the 96 style SS wheels are 9" wide where as the ZR1 wheels are 9.5" wide.

arnt there 11in wide Zr1's? i love the way they look but i want a fat-*** tire back there. Also how much customization is nessecary to fit a 315 tire back there?

Yes, there are 11in wide ZR1 wheels, 11in wide GS wheels (look like ZR1 wheels but are black and have a different offset), and then there are 11in wide replica ZR1 wheels in both offsets and in black, silver, and chrome.

You might need to do nothing to install these or you might need to install an adjustable panhard rod, hammer your wheel wells, remove your bump stop bracket, roll the fender lips, or use spacers. So, you either do nothing or all of that or bits and pieces. You just need to see what needs to be done once you get the wheels in your own car
