315 tires

what tire should i go with? i really dont race much, tracking isnt a huge problem , but i want a tire i can actually drive in the rain with. i have the f1 gs d3's on a set of 16" rims. are they worth $285 a tire in a 315/35ZR17?

what have you guys ran in the past. i know kumho's are cheap as well as sumitumos. i'd rather have a nicer tire.

Another good place to look for answers is Tire Rack. They have rating and reviews on all these tires.

I bought some 315/35/17 BFG Drag Radials and they seem to work great. They are pretty soft and get you some traction. So far in the rain i havent had any problems. I guess the only downfall is they dont last as long and also they pick up everything in the road!!

my kumho v700 335's picked up everything also. killed my rear bumper a bit. they were a compition tire for road racing. would like an summer performance tire this time around. i just think the drag radials might wear too fast for me.

thanks for the replies.

I'll vote for the KDs. If your going to be in the rain a lot pick the KDWs.

I don't think they make KDWs in 315/35R17 size. That's why I went with the KDs, plus the F1GS-D3s were on backorder.
