Lightbulb 20's on a 1996 Camaro

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can verify that 20x8.5" wheels will fit on a lowered 1996 Camaro? I have been told by the guy I am buying from that they will fit but I want a second opinion. If they will fit, what tire size should I go with? Thanks for the help!

Re: 20's on a 1996 Camaro

I would say it all depends on the offset. A couple friends and I tried putting a set of 20's with an offset for a S10 on a Camaro that wasn't lowered and they rubbed the back of the fender preventing them from turning at all without seriously tearing up the plastic quarter panel, but it looked like the car could of been lowered about 2" had it not rubbed where it did. As for the tire size, I'd go with something like 245/35/Zr20. I just picked up a set off ebay for about 700 shipped to my door. Not bad considering they are Nitto 555's.
