19" Tire Size Suggesions?
19" Tire Size Suggesions?
Im going to be ordering my new wheels some time this week and I was wondering what the best size tire combo to go with. Im going with a 19x9.5 in the back and 19x8.5 up front.
I was thinking maybe a 275/30/19 in the back and a 235/35/19 so that the same overall diameter of the tires would be the same. Will these sizes fit ok on the new wheels?

Re: 19" Tire Size Suggesions?
Those tire sizes match your wheel widths, per the recommendations of most tire manfacturers. To check, go to Tire Rack, and click on "search by size". When you get the list of tires avaialble in that size, click on the "Specs" button for any one you are interested in. It will usually have the recommended wheel width range.

if it was me, i'd run a 265 or 275/30ZR19 on the 19x8.5 and a 285/30ZR19 on the 19x9.5
a 275/30ZR19 on a 19x9.5 wheel looks stretched to me, that's why i'd go with a 285 on the 9.5

That would be ok too, with the 285/30/19 that would keep the same overall diameter of the stock tires. And a 265/30/19 are only .4" shorter than the rears, so that shouldnt be a problem. I may end up going with that setup.

Im gonna get the HPR5s, but Im still stumped on what color to order.
Do you have traction control on your car? If so, are you having any problems with your low trac light? Your front tires are just a tad taller than your rears. About .3" to be exact.
