Re: 18" ZR1 wheels

GM only ever made 17" ZR1's. There's only one company making the 18" ZR1's I'm aware of. They dont' quite look right though. Sort of out of proportion. I'd need to see a set in person.

Anyone have a picture of these on a fbody or any other car? I don't want to be the first to test them out

Here are a few pictures of 18" ZR1 style wheels on my 1995 Z28. I love the way they look!

Looks good for sure. Does that black LT1 in the 3rd pic have them too in chrome or am I seeing things?

To me a 18" ZR1 on the rear is how GM should have done it the first time Do they make those in 10.5" wide or just 9.5"?

Re: 18" ZR1 wheels

I have only seen 9.5" wide for the 18" ZR1 wheels. The black camaro in the pic is my '96 Z28 and has 18" polished Forgeline wheels which are a completely different design from the ZR1's. But they sure look shiny don't they?

Re: 18" ZR1 wheels

These are wicked wheels - GM made only made 17 ZR1's for the Vettes.

For the Camaros, they made 16's for the convertible SS's and 17's for the SS coupes.

The only aftermarket width anyone has ever offered is 9.5".

The proportion is perfect - looks proper. I woudl say go with a 275/40 tire if you are not lowered more than 1". Most people go 275/35 tires, but I think that bit more sidewall on a 40 makes it look right.

Here are my pictures: http://groups.msn.com/GMsFbody/30thz28.msnw?Page=3

There are some side by side photos of the old 16" Z28's vs the new 18" ZR1's.

The problem with 18" Wheels is that the brakes look tiny now, I went through the same problem.

Re: 18" ZR1 wheels

I ve bought mine directly from this seller(topswheels). The black one:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/18-New-Black-Corv...QQcmdZViewItem

The wheel are perfect, good finish no problem at all.His service was pretty good and they came to my door in less then 1 week.

Im running 285/35zr18 on them wich is the closest size from the stock one:

-Stock:245/50-16 (25.65" diameter)
-New one: 285/35-18 (25.85" diameter)

And as far as the stocker front brake seems so little behind 18",just put some c5 in it(like i ve done) and that solve the problem.Yep now everything looks fine and for the first time a lt f-body can really brake
