You can do 275/40/17's all the way around or you could do 275/40/17's in front and 285/40/17 in the rear if you want a little wider tire. I have got 315's in the back on my car with 9.5 inch rims, but you will get a lot of guys that say you shouldn't do it. If the car is a daily driver, I would go with the 275 or 285's. If you go to www.tirerack.com you can check on a particular tire and click on the "specs" option and it will show you what size rim each manufacturer suggests for each tire size.

That looks good with the big 315's in back. Any rubbing? A lot of people have problems with 7x11 rims. I think with 7x9.5 would not be as deep in the well.
I had 275/50-16's on a '94Z on stock rims, looked good filled up the wheel wells, a little rubbing. Not a good sound.
