What would be the benefit of having two different size wheels. The z06 came w/ 17's in the front and18's in the back.I'm looking to buy some chrome z06 wheels, and I want to buy the right sizes??Where can I buy some center caps for them. btw anyone selling there's. Mike

  • search for AFS Z06
  • get 18x9.5's all around
  • no real benifit from 17's up front, but you cant rotate them, and thats something you will want with tires in these sizes

It all boils down to the question, what do YOU want to put on your car? Most people put either all 17's on or all 18's...the majority goes with the 18's.

I have 17" ZO6's on mine.

Aftermarket ones are the cheapest but heaviest. The stock ones are expensive but extremely light and strong, with the later years haveing the lightest and strongest forgings.

What do oem z06 wheels weigh. and how much more expensive.I like the afs wheels but really want the best looking and performance buy.I mailed afs to see how much the z06 wheels weigh.I'll post the numbers when I receive them.I just wanted to know if theres any perfomance benefit from 17-18 set-up.If theres not, I will go w/ the 18's. One more thing. What tires would be best for track/"street" performance.I'm thinking about BFG g-Force T/A 295/35/18 Drag Radial.Only 224 shipped. What should I use up front.I don't think I will need Dr's up front.Should I keep the same size or reduce the width a bit. Mike

275/35/18's all around on 18x9.5 z06;s. thats what i have. you can prolly fit the 295 on the rear, but will buldge slightly

275/40/17's for 17x95 z06's

Those are the best drag radials known to man. Nittos suck by comparison. I had the 17 18 combo before. It looks really good form the 3/4 view both front and rear. Especially with wider tires on the rear. Car looks more natural that way. Now I have 17s all around merely to avoid tire costs on the 18 inch wheels. Mainly because theyre the rears and I constantly have to buy new rears.

Should I get 4 bfg's or two in the rear and anything 275/35/18 on the fronts.I don't mind having 4 dr's by all means, but would a treaded set work better?

That is a challenge for 4th gens. The best fit from what I've seen will come from 17's all around, but somehow to me, the 17 front 18 back combo looks the best. You may have rubbing issues from the 18 z06 wheel unless you get an aftermarket with a custom offset for our cars.

In terms of handling, I'd ask around. I know of one person in my club that went with aftermarket z06's 17/18, and although they were great looking, he did report back that handling wasn't as good as with his original wheels and tires. Shop around and do the homework, and I think you will do fine.

you dont need DR's on the front, get another model BFG, like their gforce t/a or something
