The size of the rim doesnt have anything to do with it.
Its the height of the tire that matters, you want somthing that is the same height or as close as you can to keep the speedo correct.

With all the PCM programming available, you can easly correct a new tire size, or different gears.

the only thing i'd be worried about is the 15" rims clearing your calipers on the rear or not. not sure about offsets or wheel designs but i do know that the old 15" Vette Rallys i have won't clear the calpers on the rear unless i use a 7/16 spacer. they are 15x7 4.5" BS.
