Just gave my pride and joy to my cousin as a graduation gift

Here she is recieving it as a gift (My pride and joy for 10 years)

One photograph for me to have of my ole trusty Z28 from Tx to Tn (pay special attention to the rear view mirror)

-Non-smoker
-Less than 30k miles
-Never been wrecked or recieved any body damage
-One owner, 10 years old in amazing condition (welll taken care of).

Just a bit of background for other camaro owners to enjoy...
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Now I am looking to get a newer model 02 SS than my 98 Z28 shown above:

From the moment I drive my SS off the lot it will go directly to three shops:
Step 1) 5% Limo Tint
Step 2) SLP Loudmouth 1 Exhaust system
Step 3) 1998-2002 Vinzage body kit upgrade

I wouldn't dare drop my car this low:

About this height

Onto my question:
Since I am buying a manual transmission, my 98 was "auto" and used vehicle for the first time what should I check for and what mods should I add to it for a hp increase for price vs performance. I'd like to up the hp, but save as much as I can

My Z28 shown above was a 98 305hp 5.7 Liter LS1 which I kept stock for 10 years. My SS will be a different story

Sorry to post in this area, but I didn't see a general post area within these forums. Please move the post to appropriate area

Don't do the body kit.

There are tons of ways to make an F-body go faster. How fast do you want to go? How much do you want to spend?

I like the body kit, but I don't like that hood at all. I have never been a fan of open hoods or dual ram air hoods.

Between $500-600 dollars maximium

Is it worth it to get an SS over a Z28 if your going to mod the car yourself?
I was thinking of following this guide or is there a better setup?

Possible modding setup:
http://www.blackcamaro.com/firstmods.htm

Mods 4-10 to start, maybe the rest later

This body kit

These doors

This rear Spoiler

The actual SS I am looking to buy on monday is black with grey cloth interior

Dont put *any* body kit on it... just lower it, by the way... If you havent already, regester at ls1tech.com . Its more of an ls1 forum then cz28 and gets alot more traffic.

what year SS are you looking at? You posted the bodykit for the LT1 body camaro...

Maybe you should consider a Civic instead if you are seriously wanting those mods.
