I have a 93 M29 with a fresh rebuild.

It's gearing is a lot lower in 1-2 than the M28s and MN6s. For my application, it just doesn't work.

TDP did the rebuild, replacing synchros, blockers, shift fork and input shaft along with seals and bearings.

It is currently sitting in my shop, sealed up.

$1750.

T56rebuilds will get you one for $1900, or you can buy the case for $750 and have someone up here throw in the internals.

No.

I run in the Camaro/Mustnag Challenge series. It's a spec road racing series, restricting 4th gen LT1s to 230 RWHP. So the trans has not been abused by any stretch of the imagination. It probably has 150 miles on it, if that much.

So, I never use 1st and rarely 2nd. I was looking for the more desirable 5th gear. But that only has an advantage at 1 track and it's not worth it to do a tranny swap for a single track.

I am more looking for a builder with maybe some worn synchros or a bad fork. I want to have one built so i can reduce downtime on the car as much as possible when i replace the clutch.

i appreciate the thought though.

$750 for an empty case
Who will pay that much? I have 3-4 complete cases that I'd be glad to sell.

Yup, I rebuilt this tranny, and was very suprised to find that the internals looked brand new. Now that it has a new mainshaft, 5-6 cluster, all new rings, steel 3-4 fork, it is better than new!
First gear is 2.97:1 compared to 2.66 of the 94-02 T56's. 6th is .62 instead of .50.

Just the empty shells. I've got about 75% of the parts to build one of them. Otherwise I would have already built and sold it
