WTB LT1 block and heads

Due to a comp 26918 valve spring breaking when it had plenty of lift left in it according to comp, I need a new engine

I need a block, and one head. One of my heads is trashed. Im probably going to just have to buy a pair of heads, oh well. Im going with aftermarket internals, so I really dont need a crank or rods.

What's the status of your old crank and rods? Any of it salvageable?

I believe my little brother is selling a set of LT1 heads with fresh valves for 160 or 175, can't remember. I will alert him to this post.

I think the crank/rods are ok. Im debating replacing them though. An Eagle cast steel crank is $189, and Eagle SIR I-beams are $235. Im planning on running 10.99 1/4 mile times with this car, so thats cheap insurance.

Then again, Summit sells GM performance 4340 forged LT1/LT4 powdered metal rods for $249. I wonder if these are the same as the stockers. If so I may just get ARP bolts installed in them, and reuse them.

I found a cheap set from a guy Ive bought parts from before. I just have to wait a few weeks for him to pull them, untill he gets his heads/cam setup installed.
