Re: WTB.......LT1 block
i got my 149k mile block out of the car right now and i was gonna reuse it but i got a good deal on one that was ready for the rotating assembly. dont really need it anymore. spun a few bearings, but the block is still good. if your going 355 it would be great for a rebuild or stroker. asking 150 for it just let me know. i live in south texas and willing to meet up in SA. let me know.

Re: WTB.......LT1 block
it spun the rod bearings, the #3,4, and 7 i think. got some rod knock right before i finally turned it off for good. if i remember correctly the cylinder walls werent damaged, but it has the small ridge found on almost all the high mileage LT1 blocks. if your gonna go 355 at least it should be good, as long as the block is bored over it should be fine. might be able to get some pics but i dont have access to a digital camera. i'll try and get one from my bro if you need a few pics.

Re: WTB.......LT1 block
Ill have my stock shortblock out this weekend, as my new engine will be here friday. One cylinder is damaged, and would probably need a sleeve. No spun bearings or anything, it just dropped a valve. Sleeves hold up well to high power levels too. Id let it go dirt cheap, just to get it out of here.

Re: WTB.......LT1 block
I have a complete iron-head LT1 (intake to oilpan) that I'm selling for $400. Since you are reusing your heads/intake (I assume) then it would work since the shortblock is the same. You could resell the heads/intake and recoup some of the cash you spend on it. When I disassembled it, you could still see the cross-hatching on the cylinders (100k miles on it). I'm in SA if interested...just PM me.
