Sorry Meangreen for your thread gettin hijacked.

I've got it priced $250 over KBB private party in the worst condition that can be priced. NADA price for "low retail" is the same. How much luck am I gonna need?

NP bro... while I agree that you have priced your car fair I agree that you are going to have a tough time selling it for 3 grand. I just sold my 2001 Mitsubishi Galant with 100k miles on it for 3 grand and it had NO issues.

If your car looked like the one in the pic then I'd consider paying that much, but it doesn't. Plus it has a lot of mileage on it and it looks like it has good sized dent in the fender.
I'm sure you'll run into someone w/ the money. Until then good luck.
Where's the hijacking taking place? You placed your ad on a public message forum and I'm replying with an opinion.

Re: WTB: Cheap beater 4cyl car.

"Fair" condition means that the vehicle has some mechanical or cosmetic defects and needs servicing but is still in reasonable running condition. This vehicle has a clean title history, the paint, body and/or interior need work performed by a professional. The tires may need to be replaced. There may be some repairable rust damage.
I think that "stock photo" was taken back in late '93 with a car that just came off the line and with professional photography equipment/lighting. Less than 5% of vehicles fall into the "excellent" category. Sounds more like Fair condition to me.

I've had numerous people (in real life and on-line) either tell me it's priced too high or that I could get more for it. I know what number I want for it, and I agree with you that someone will eventually come along with that amount.

W/out seeing it in person it's difficult to tell, but I'm not all that impressed with the photo you supplied.

Re: WTB: Cheap beater 4cyl car.

I may be heading that way on Wednesday (possibly Friday), so I can even deliver it to you at no cost to save you the trip if need be. Well, you'd have to meet me in Euless, where I pick up my new car.

And Ford wants to buy your motorcycle, and he's one of my best friends, so this might work out.
