I've got two. One is in perfect shape and has about 35k miles on it, transgo...I bought it off of Joe (Smoke TA) a few months back. I just took it out of my car to swap in the 6spd.
I also have the original. It has about 85k miles and at least needs the 2nd gear clutch band as well as a new valve body. 2nd gear doesn't work and it wont shift into 2nd or 3rd under WOT.
You can have the good one for $400 and I'll throw my small aux. tranny cooler(Perma-cool) as well as the original Convertor(96k).
If you want the bad one, I'll sell it for $75 and throw in a convertor that Joe gave me. I'm not sure how many miles are on the convertor.

Ive got a stock 4L60E with no converter just rebuilt around 1000 miles ago but when i put the new motor in it started sliping in 3rd and 4th but every thing else is brand new even the case, servo, pump, etc. im sure it just need the bands replaced. I went to a TH-350 and also i will delivere within 50 miles for 200$ It came out of a 96 T/A

Given the mods listed in your sig, this tranny will hold fine. For a bolt on car, this tranny will hold(it held for mine) But if you're going to be running heads/cam/N2O then you need to look elsewhere. I have 8 passes on it and it never showed a sign of a hiccup
I honestly don't know the details about how it was built other than the fact that it has a Trans Go shift kit. I can ask Joe if he remembers any details about it. Thread
