Damn that sucks. Are you going to try to warranty it? Must have been a crater though to bust the windshield.

Nope, no crater... just a dip in the road...typical of intersections in Dallas..or anywhere really.

Had the guys at safelite look at it, they said it was due to impact of some sort 1" from the drivers side A-piller.

There were no fast moving cars, so unless someone took a shot at me from a building nearby, it had to be chassis flex.

Damn... I even have weld-on subframes!

It's replaced now... $282.81 total. Actually that is cheap for the large surface area of these windshields. Our Jeep Grand Cherokee was over $500.00 two years ago.

Where did you go to get it replaced?

I have a crank in mine.

I used Safelite Auto Glass .... they came to my workplace and swapped out the windshield in the parking lot.

Damn that sux!

If it was on the 'Collector's Edition' I hope you conned them into using OEM glass. The 'collectible' value may have just taken a hit, no?

Yep... on the CE!

I priced the "GM Windshield" .... $758.00

Safelite Glass, which is used in many cars anyway (you can find their logo on different makes and models)... $234.00 Tax and such = $281.81

Not worried about resale on this one... I'm driving it until the axle brakes in half from cast iron decay! LOL

.... or until it gets demolished by some @$$ running a redlight here in DallASS

"Drive safe, cuz the guy next to you sure as hell ain't!"

A crank? Can you raise and lower your windshield?
