Of course their would be cash for ya. Just curious. Im too scared to go it by my lonesome.
Preferably want someone who has done it before. Or knows a little about it.
Im looking to do it right after Christmas. Thanks!

Ya ive been reading them as well. But i guess im just a panzy when it comes to cutting the roof off the car
Maybe we'll end up doing them about the same time. Either way if you do yours first. I dont mind lending a hand just so i can learn a little. Or vice versa. In fact if you do it first i beg that you let me come
I think i have the job there as well. Except one of my dates of employment is off when they called to confirm. My dates where correct but seems the people i was working for, their CPA was taking them for a few years. So their records are screwed up.
Other than that i am almost positive i have the job. Which will be cool. The atmosphere there is alot like Citibank which i like.

That's cool about the job. It really is a fun place to work. Sometimes it gets busy, others it is really laid back. I'm getting my bonus in a little over a month and am planning on doing heads/cam then, so the T-Tops would be next on my list. My thinking was the same as yours though, getting some experience. Whenever you do it, let me know, I'm there.

Well then
So i guess we are both looking for practice before we cut into the cars.
Im gonna being doing heads/cam etc first then after. Im going to find a wrecked car with black leather and t-tops and part it out.
So i guess whoever gets there first will have the guinea pig car
Also i have all the tools necessary. dremel, sawzall etc... Do you have a place to work on them?(is that too forward of me?). I was just figuring we might end up doing them about the same time anyways
if so we could just do em both same time.

Have ya'll considered cutting the entire top off the donor car and putting it on your car? Maybe you could pay a body shop to do that kind of install. I checked some of my towns local body shops about cutting out t-tops and they just laughed.
Mark
I miss my t-tops, I had in my 95 firebird.

Many guys have done it. Its not hard. 1 days work if you have everything you need to do it. It cost my friend about $500 in parts. saw, a-pillar, headliner, weather stripping, and teh t-tops themselves.

He shows some pics of how he did it. He will do anything for money too.
