Check your PMs as I replied about my 383 shortblock. It was built by G&G Performance Engines out of Houston Texas. They came very highly recommended and I couldn't have been happier with them.

Heads/cam = I would look into Lloyd Elliot as he is local and his setups have yielded some crazy numbers/power. I believe his screen-name on here is Nighttrain66 or something like that.

Houston:

I've talked to Erik @ HPE on the phone a couple times. He seems super sharp and his shop looks very clean. This isn't a cheap shot, but I didn't care for Chuck. Real short, quiet, and didn't really get a good vibe from him.

Westside Machine is doing some work for me right now and so far they've been very helpful. I'll have a complete opinion of them after I get the motor back together.

That is all I have personal experience with here in Texas.

There is a guy in New Braunfels named Corey Henderson. He is very knowledgable. If you want an LT5... he is the guy to go to (worked w/ lotus in England on it)

I've been happy with USA Engines (The WOP SHOP) at 7562 Dillion. It's a couple of block north of Hobby.

Another vote for Corey in New Braunfels. He does great work, very reasonable.
