Where to get a cage made and installed?

I am looking for a place in the central texas area to install, or to build a custom cage for me. I will go to houston, SA, or austin to get it put in. I don't really want a wolfe, because I think that the bar is too close to my head for me to want to drive around every day with it. I am not getting this so that I can run a certain time legally, I am getting it to be safe. Please let me know where a good place to get this done would be. Thanks in advance.

Bug Clinic, ask for Mike...he is expensive but will do a proffesional job and he is aware of NHRA rules and standards that will be necessary for you to follow

Axis Industries makes custom cages

www.axisindustries.com

I know don't really want a wolfe, but he just installed one on a 99 f-bod, and will be doing another as soon as it gets here

They fit extremely well...I'm 6'2" and my head didn't hit the bar.

Cool

If you buy a prefabbed cage , Wayne Pinson will weld it and install it for a resonable price. You can call him @ 776-1419 , tell him I reffered you and he might go a little lower. ( Hell , he might go higher !! ) Ed

I didn't know that spohn made cages, i will check them and axis out. Thanks ed, i will be looking for someone really good to weld it if I do get a prefabbed one.

Edit:the ones on the spohn website are only for 82-92
Also axisindustries website is saying that I am not authorized to view this website. Oh well, I guess I will try once I get home.

Madman and Co. in Houston also does excellent work. He doesn't have a link to the cages on his website, but you can give him a call.

hahaha...Fawk that!...

Aaron, do like me...I am ordering an 8 point from jegs..it's like 170 bucks...get it powder coated in Bryan, there is a guy that does it real cheap, and then pay Dave to weld it up for you...you know he is an awsome welder and since he is also porting your heads, he might give ya a great hook up price on the welding

That is painted or powdercoated right? Not just bare metal?
I would get the jegs rick, but I hear they fit like crap, and I don't want an 8pt. I want to still be able to use my back seats, at least some. That is why I want one custom made. We will see, but i am going to try to get one as soon as possible.

if that's true then I will go with that. I just heard that they don't fit all that great. I will try to find him to ask him though.

alot of people nowadays are too brand loyal to realize you can get the exact same thing alot cheaper...unless it says wolfe on it or has some other brand name on it that tripples the price it aint worth a damn...
