Question where can i find intake tubing?

I need to find some decent looking metallic intake tubing to run from my MASS airlflow sensor to air filter. What kind of tubing can I use? Where can I find it in the Houston area? I dont want to spend the money on a K&N or SLP CIA, and I would prefer to put my own CAI together anyway, since Im working with a first gen, and have plenty of room. thanks,

-Gordon

Go ask MTI...they helped mock one up for "PAIN" not too long ago...., he is on their web page and he has pics of the set up you are talking about.....they will recognize the name and know what I am telling you about, he is one of their biggest customers and they use his setup for bragging rights since he runs one of their "prized" 422 engines....
Good luck,
Rick
ps. do a search for "pain" on ls1tech.com and check out his web page...he has a step by step on it...very informative

The car is at my house. I live on the S.W. corner of Old Hearn rd. and Stevens Dr. Second house , horseshoe dr. , 2611 Stevens Dr. stop by and see it any time , or call me @ 229-7187 ( cell ) I'm asking what I paid for the car , $1,100. I have a 357 , a 383 , a 406 , a 427 , and a 454 for sale. I also have a 12 bolt for a first gen. and a Turbo 400. I've got a couple of sets of roller rockers also. I've got TOO many project cars , and I need to get rid of my spare inventory !! The car is clean with almost no rust , and absolutly NO dents. Ed

Ed, I might take some of those roller rockers from you. What kind and ratios do you have? Also, are any of those motors able to run. My neighbor is getting mad about my 82 Camaro and I just want to throw something in there and be able to move it around here and there.

Well Rick, I need to move it around some because it sits in my driveway and a little on his. We have a dirt driveway and the property line goes straight down the t-tops...lol. I just want to throw something in there so he thinks I am making progress and won't complain. He gave me permission to park there but I need to get it moved and I am tired of pushing the damn thing.

Getting back to the intake tubing, I am using some muffler pipe and u-bends, and plan to have it coated or painted when done. You could also look at PVC pipe and bends at the local hardware store, or even some aluminum dryer ducting that is flexible. Depends on your "style" requirements!
