by the way, I'm looking for a 99+ F-BODY tranny too. Mine took a dump this morning on the way to work

AHART: You got beat to it. I just dropped off my truck..the dude that built my engine for the 68, well he knows a guy that rebuilds them for $685 w/a 12 month/12k mile warranty. $70 to install. My truck is there now getting the tranny replaced.

EDIT: What happened..ok, this could possibly be it..I have 83k miles on it (2k Silverado 4.8 v8), I drive it alot, hell, thats what a truck is for. I've never changed the tranny fluid/filter. Reverse went out and OD..I think 2 is out also. At any rate..my friends truck (same year, 35k miles) went out also..except his was under warranty. I guess I got it wrong when I bought it, its supposed to be *built FORD tough*, my mistake. LOL

 

$70 install, I bet he's not doing it laying on his back. Good price
