wanted 3200 stall
well...cause im going to be doing alot more work to my engine!!!and stuff!! and from what i hear more people have 3200-3600 stalls!!!! if you can gimme some more info on ur stall!!!!! and what i should expect from it!!
a 383 will make tq down low, turbo, nitrous, there both power adders that make a lot of torque down low.
you would want a nitrous convertor for ether application.
most would probobly run a small convertor, it just depends.
post in the power adder section of this board, they could help uderstand a litte more.
the reason i went with a 2800 is because i wanted to spray right out the whole with no back firing

find your peak torque, stall it 400-500rpms before this.
the convertor is a VERY important part in your setup.
tell me your setup. or what you plan and i can help you understand if this convertor is good for you or not

if you want a new one pm me i have a guy that builds custom converters. i've had 2 from him they were 2500 stock and a 3500 10 inch both are pretty awsome units. he also makes a billet converter but its like $900
the 10 inch has the same internals as the high $ billet but is around 400. or he could rebuild your stock one with up to 2500 stall.
if your still wondering what stall to go with i have a little experiance for you. i had a 2500 restalled stock converter didnt like it it was a little tight, the 3500 10 inch is very loose performs pretty well and is a lighter so revs quiker. the only thing i dont like is when i go to pass a car but i'm working on a program to fix that .
if your concerned about drivability you can pm me and we could work on a tune that will compensate (sp) for the stall. i.ve learned a few thing to do with the lockup clutch and shift points. you can make stalls pretty streetable with proper tranny tunes.
if you want my advice i would find your cam then find your stall.
