Ttop Conversion??
Re: Ttop Conversion??
dunno about el paso area but i know someone on this board does it, around college station area. You can also do it yourself if you can't find anyone, or just ask some body shops around there.
Re: Ttop Conversion??
Usually around $350 for labor, parts extra. If you bring your own parts, he'll just charge for the labor. He's available to do the conversion at two locations, DFW area and B/CS area. So if one's closer, let him know and he'll work it out with you.
Re: Ttop Conversion??
Expect to pay $300-500 for parts. eBaymotors.com and this webboards For Sale section are great places to start. I believe Jeremy (Red Blur) already made a list of the componants needed in the conversion in a few earlier posts, but I'll list them out here for you anyways.
- Set of T-Tops*
- 2 A pillars (2 screws each)
- 2 Rear B pillar corner pieces (2 screws each)
- Set of T-Top weatherstripping (Left and Right)
- T Bar retainer piece on roof (8 screws)
- Set of holders for tops in trunk (2 screws each)
- 4 T-Top mounting brackets to frame (2 bolts/nuts each)
- Headliner
- Windshield weatherstripping **
- T-Top Shades ***
*While all 93-02 T-Tops will interchange, there are some differences. 93-94 T-Tops had the Dot Matrix type tint on them. They are not very attractive, so you might be able to get them cheap. 95 T-Tops went to the smoke style tint, but they have the smaller rain molding like the 93-94 models. The 96-02 models are all the same and have the larger rain moldings on them.
**This is not required for the conversion, it's just there for the cleaner, factory look. This needs to be done at a professional auto glass installation center.
***Again, these aren't required for the conversion, it's just there as a convenience. Most people like having them to shade them from the sun, but some like to be able to look out at the sky. It's all up to your own personal preference.
Hope this helps! I'm waiting on a headliner, well.... money, then a headliner lol. That's the last thing I need before I hit up Jeremy (Red Blur).
