ticket issues

So, all the years of speeding has finally caught up to me this summer.

Now, what happens if I got a ticket in Atascosa county, took the probation option thing, and then got another ticket in Bexar county before my probation ended? I can't take defensive driving. What's the best thing to do?

Re: ticket issues

The question to ask is: What were the stipulations on your probation??????

If it was not getting a citation within a time period, then its judge's decision... Its going to show on your record.....

Contact a lawyer.....

Texas uses the point system now....... Depending on how many points you have the license may be revoked.......

Contact a lawyer......

Chapter 708

As far as insurance, most companies check your driving history every 6 month/yearly.... Premium may go up or they can drop you.....

the probation usually only applies to the jurisdiction where you received the ticket. in other words, you could be on probation concurrently in several different counties.

the best thing to do is set it for trial. just before the trial, plead out to the prosecutor. you could probably get out for next to nothing out of pocket, and minimal probation.

Re: ticket issues

dont forget you may have been issued a ticket but were not found guilty of any infraction.. thus, you can have a lawyer postphone the court date a bit and then go to the hearing.. if needed..
