My Trailblazer... However it wouldn't just give you a challenge. I'd be forced to give you a head start to keep it close .

cool, thanks.

I have ran 7.30 @ 95 MPH with no cage and they did not say anything.

I was not sure if 7.29 was when they start checking or not.

It will probably be OK since you get the slip from the tower as opposed to the return road like at motorplex where they can see your car as they hand you the slip and know to look for the cage.

Cedar Creek Dragway will often let you run no matter what the hell you have.I have bracket raced out there and had them look at everything but grudged raced and they stuck a number on and turned us loose.I know alot of people dont like the track but you can get alot of runs in.

Kennedale seems like the closest place that I will go to. They will probably not ahve a problem with my car.

I have NO desire to go back to Cedar creek. I have not ben there since early 90's and I doubt any major upgrdes have been made since then.

I have seen some CRAZY FAST cars run at Cedar Creek. The first time I went, I pulled up toward the staging lanes, got out and asked the kid in old Chevy beside be "Where's tech?" He was like "What's that?"

It's been a few years since I've gone, but they had a wheelie contest that day. I saw a Datsun Z nearly flip over....

It was cool because they'll even let you take passengers down the track and my girlfriend got to ride with me.

I think the only rule they have is that the driver can't be drinking while on the track... but the passengers can!

I too havent been there since the 90's but I figured I would throw it in there just for a place to run with an easy tech. There used to be a f'ing dip in one of the lanes just through the lights that was real bad.I hope they fixed it.But I have to say back then that was some of the BEST racing I have ever seen. The big time Dallas street racers would show up along with some from H-town and they would throw down all night untill the sun came up.Roy Thomas had a low 5 second Hans Fuestal small block(which was extremely fast back then) 67 camaro that would drag the bumper(most of all the cars back then would do wheelies)he ended up going across the nation running some of the best fastest street car races including the world street finals where it ran high 7's @180 mph,TAGGED and INSPECTED.Frankie Taylor who now runs Pro Modifieds used to come down from houston with a wicked small block dark blue chevy luv that seemed like it ran 4's but he never showed the time. The Creek may not be much now but it was a hell of a track years back.Im showing my age now(38) and Ill shut up.
I race at Red Line now because its close and they dont look at the car much through tech but let one drop of fluid touch the track and those bastards freak out.The guy who runs it (Jerry Goss) hates street cars and he is a real ***.He is and old braket racer and thats all he cares about.
