STS Performance or something in Waco area???

Has anyone ever had any dealings with this company (shop - whatever)?

Apparently they sent a "mechanic" to court against some friends of mine and the line of BS he fed them was believed by the judge. Just curious if they're a reputable shop or anything.... After hearing what they said, I'm gonna say no.

But before I go on further ~ anyone know of them?

yea.. apparently. They have a "master tech" there that shot down some friends of mine - on a car that I even was a part of putting back together.

1. He had the nerve to say factory optisparks were/are not a problem on LT1 cars...
2. My friends put a 10 bolt from a V6 in a V8 formula prior to selling it (furthermore he set the torque setting wasn't right on the pinion nut and who knows what - so that meant it was from a V6)
3. A short block that was assembled by Kim Barr racing in Dallas was nothing more than a 100+k miled shortblock becuase the pistons didn't say .030 on them or something. <- they were SRP +.030 -5cc forged pistons in the motor
4. He said a 224/230 on a 114 - 110icl was "too much for a stock engine" It should be used in a manual car were apparently his words. Obviously this is a medium sized cam ~ even in a close to factory cubes motor.

Anyways... gun5 is the kid that purchased the car. He purchased a "used" '94 Formula from a friend of mine for $5700 - maybe 2 years ago.. It was a decent looking car. Had 17" WS6 wheels.. Paint was a little rough but the car was over 10 yrs old. Anyways.. He was awarded $1700 from ebay motors for some off the wall reason. And after monday, he was awarded another $2000. So.. All said and done, he scammed a car for $2k pretty much.

Personally I want nothing to do with the kid... Hopefully karma pays him back before long. However I've been told his parents have deep pockets. So.. you can always afford to pay off karma if that's the case.

Damn, that sucks. Seems like the guy knew what to say to the right person. That guy does seem to have nice cars in the backgrounds of all his pictures. Wonder if they are dad's or his?

Shawn, I have a bunch of questions for you. I'll PM you a bit later, wasn't sure you were around much anymore.
