Still need 6 speed tranny boot.
Still need 6 speed tranny boot.
Hey guys, I still am looking for the rubber tranny boot that screws to the tranny tunnel sheet metal below the 6 speed console. My car is a 1994. I really hate to pay $50 at the dealer, but cannot wait a whole lot longer. Thanks Dwayne
Re: Still need 6 speed tranny boot.
Dwayne, I wish I knew you needed one. We could have worked out some sort of trade for an old one I have laying around.
And I'm not sure which dealer you are using, but just recently bought a new one for the #8 Camaro you saw and it was $26 plus tax.

Re: Still need 6 speed tranny boot.
I may try another dealer, that is the price for the local guys... they are kinda high... I guess the dealers are allowed freedom to gouge. Was nice meeting you the other day. How'd everyone do at the race?
Re: Still need 6 speed tranny boot.
We had to rip out the steering column in the blue Z and fix a collapsed steering shaft. Not sure if the column had been in an accident or if we did it installing it. But the blue car did really well in Steve's race craft sessions. Got his times down to a very respectible 1:55s
I finished mid pack in race 1 and race 3. I spun in race 2 and wound up dead freaking last. I got my times into the 1:53s
Glenn finished in the top 5 in all 3 races. I was in the 52s ...
We all drove off the track and immediately loaded them on the trailer. If you can drive it on the trailer after the race, you win!
