SFC installer in SA - oh, and I'm back

After my long hiatis away from the board and the Camaro, I'm back. I have been lurking around for the last few weeks but haven't posted hear 'cause all I would have to post is "sorry I can't make the meet". Anyway, the new house is finished and we're moved in and getting settled. I ordered the SLP lid and BMR STB and installed them about a month ago. I also order the SFC at the same time but haven't had time to get them installed. I know some people were going to automaniacs. Anybody have a person I should talk to there or some other place. All info is appreciated. I'd like to get to the dyno to watch and meet back up with you guy's. No engine mods = no dyno. Also if there is anything going on this saturday.

Yeah Ben, Its me. The 2002 pewter metalic SS. I've read about some of your recent gains and loses. Got the car running and got hit. Got the body work done and now its engine troubles again. Aint that always the way. Anywho, good luck and hopefully I'll catch up with all of you guys soon. I want to get to the track sometime.

Hi Michael. I got mine done at Automaniacs, I was pretty pleased with the work, and they got it done in a day, altho I thought they were a little pricey. Then Martin got his done there and they charged him more than they charged me! - and- it took them like 3 days to do it - go figure. I dont know if I would recommend them, but I do have to admit they did a good job, didnt burn any carpet, and they didnt mess anything up, I dont remember Martin complaining about the work, just the customer service.

I knew you were happy with the work and I think you said it cost around 150 (which seems a little high). Charging more and TAKING 3 DAYS (in Martins case) is unacceptable IMHO. I will go elsewhere, but not sure were. Any other places? The SFC's are just beggin to be put on.

You might wanna try Fuel Injection Specialties. Rob Tynman (formerly of Axis) is working there and might have his equipment ready to do that kind of stuff.

Thanks for the info. Talked to Rob just now and I'm scheduled for Tuesday of next week. Price $75. Sounds more than fair for a professional job. I actually went over there at lunch. Looks like a nice, professional shop. Rob wasn't there but he called me back and said he could even stay late on Tuesday to do it. Seems like a nice guy. I'l let you know how it goes.
