Selling my LT1, make offer

OK, so I'm too attached to my '70 Firebird to sell it but I need the money now and I figure I can go with a gen 1 SBC (which would be cheaper anyway).

It's a '94 LT1 long block, alum heads (none of that iron BS), comes with the intake, injectors, all the sensors, OBDI computer, intake ducting and MAF, opti, etc. Just about everything you would need except a wiring harness.

Bad news: Motor does have a knock but it was running when pulled. You can feel free to inspect it before buying.

I'd like to get as close to $500 as I can but make me an offer.

If you'd take $100 for the heads, I'll pick them up today

Drop a 455 in that 70 Formula. You should be able to get a running one for 250-300 at pick n pull. add a carb and intake and you'll have a 12 second car. Oh, the wireing and motor mounts will match up too.

Ew, I can't imagine what I'd be spending on gas with that beast. But that is a possibility if I don't sell it first, I have a guy coming to look at it tomorrow with cash in hand. http://www.garyzcarz.com is his website, he's looking for another project.

mpg isn't too bad, besides you don't have a car like that for gas mileage. What are you asking for the car again? My wife really wants a 70-73 bird after I missed out on a 68 last weekend. Hate to see you get rid of the car since I know you like the project so much.

at one time I was in the sam situation with my 65 GP so I bought a 74 grandville for $25 and swapped everything over. Had a 455 w/a T400. worked out great. i bet you could find a wagon with a 400 and a T350 for less than 300, that would get it on the road.

Just sold the car, LT1, 2 extra sets of tires and 1 extra set of wheels for $1000. And sold my chopped up '96 trans am to a couple that needed the parts for a wrecked trans am for $600.

After this weekend I won't have any firebirds.
