Selling the Firehawk

Well I didn't ever think I would post this, but I've decided once and for all to sell my Firehawk. I've decided it's time to move on, and would prefer to sell her to an enthusiast if possible.

Soon enough I'll be buying a BMW 3-series convertible. It's what I really want now, and I've been shopping around. The ones I'm looking at are very reasonable and so I've made my decision. My boyfriend Jeremy will trade his truck in on an SUV and drive it, and I'll sell the Firehawk outright and buy the BMW when I find just the one I want.

Any feedback on what I should ask is also helpful, especially since specialty vehicles are hard to price fairly. If anyone in Texas is interested in the car at all or knows anyone who is, just let me know.

Thanks

The cars sounds mean as sin. Even over the phone.

It is a 6-speed, yes. The interior is in real good shape, the opti has been replaced, she's been well-maintained and loved.

She currently has 115k miles. She's driven daily to work and home, and very rarely on the weekends. We usually take the boyfriend's car everywhere else.

Thanks, Dustin! She'll be missed greatly.

Maybe I'll get visitation from the new owner.

Also, I haven't decided on a price yet. I saw a '95 Firehawk in the AutoTrader for $12,900 this past week, but thought that was high. I don't know the mileage or anything about that car, though.

Well that's honestly the ballpark I was considering listing her at. We may be able to work something out.

Like I said, I think $12,900 is way to high for my car (and the one in the AutoTrader as well). He had it listed as 1 of 22. Um, mine was also a '95 and is #608. So maybe he means silver ones or something...

Anyhow, if you want to talk more about it just shoot me a PM and I'll give you my cell #.

Let me also add that this car had a radiator flush, oil change, fluid check and brake job including complete and THOROUGH inspection before leaving Florida this May for Texas. She's been examined, poked and prodded and passed with flying colours. This is a reliable car.

For real, though, Jenny is an incredibly trustworthy person and has been a long-time productive member of this board. I guarantee what she says about this car is no less than the truth. Hell, being as modest as she is, she'll probably talk-down about the car and you'll get more than you could hope.

mrgto (Chris) - yeah, I know. I never thought I would sell her either. But, the time has come for something different.

Thank you, Dustin! I really appreciate that. Here's the "ad" I posted on a couple other sites:

1995 Formula Firehawk #608

Red hard-top
Graphite leather interior
315hp
SLP " 2 on the left" exhaust
6-speed Hurst
K&N air filter
CD player
115k miles
Car runs great, was just inspected and scheduled maintenance performed.

Would like $9k, any fair offers entertained. Please email if interested.

Austin, Texas - Can possibly deliver to Florida or most anywhere in between.
