SA: Sonic Meet 4/15/03 @ 8pm

We will actually be meeting behind the Sonic (I-10 and DeZavala for those that don't know) in the Petsmart parking lot. That way if anything happens or anyone wants to get something we will be out of the way and they can't call the cops. See you all out there unless it rains.

Parking in the dark draws less attention anyway. Besides I don't think Taco Hell would want us there either.

AHHH Look at my post count.

Being able to show off the cars is good publicity for the club. I would hope though, that we meet up to chat about ideas and plans we have, and just plain have a good time around people we have something in common with.

If we wanted to just show them off, we'd be better off to line them up off of a major street in town, where lighting allows us to park the cars just on the other side of the sidewalk facing the street.

I'm for meeting up with F-body peeps. Not for showing off.

However, Ben, is it feesible that one trip the club might make would be to some safe area where we could go freestyle on some parking lot and perform otherwise illegal manuevers? Can't think of any locations?

You know Six Flags has a huge parking lot. Maybe we could get them to sponsor some sort of autocross event? I think if we put together a well thought out plan and submitted it, well who knows. Or there is a school off, I think it is Jones Maltzberg that has a huge parking lot. We just need to contact these people and ask. When I lived in Arizona we would go to San Diego and do 1/8 drags in the parking lot of Qualcom Stadium. The people who put it on was Race legal.com http://www.racelegal.com/news/news.asp

Maybe we could contact them and find out what to say and what not to say to the appropriate people.

Just 2 cents

I'll try next week. I got my wingswest kit put on "right" finally.

Ill try to pass by next week (if it doesnt rain) and maybe I could give you guys an idea of how that kit looks if your interested?

All I got to do now is change the stupid fan settings to 180.

1) Can You imagine the paperwork and fees to make up for the business lost at Fiesta Texas, for autocross rental. Million dollars wouldn't even suprise me.

2) the School is Virgil T. Blossom Athletic Center, we'd have more chance of getting that to work.

The parking lot is not completely full. I was out there last weekend and there was about 80% of the parking lot open. I didn't know that there was already an autocross sanction here.
