My son Russell won #8 Street fighter last night at HMP Clobberthon. He went to collect his $600 earnings and the trophy but was told by the organizer, Joe Golden, that he had given the money to somebody else. He had given it to the previous Street King by mistake.

Russell won his last race that qualified him for a shot at the King. He lined up in the staging lanes ready to race the previous King immediately following his final win. He waited for 30-45 minutes and the King did not show. The staging guys told him to go collect his money and trophy. When he went to Joe Golden to collect Joe told him he had already given it to the previous King. Russell showed Joe all his time slips and Joe agreed he made a mistake. But then he told Russell that he would still not pay him. The money was gone.

I don't care if Joe had to take the money from his own pocket. He owed Russell $600 and a trophy. It was due to his mistake and not Russell's.

Never again HMP! We are sticking with LRP and HRP.

I have never wanted to run 1/8th miles.. I prefer HRP over all the tracks so far..

Good thing I read this as I live not too far from HMP and now will never ever venture out there with my family.

That is, literally, one of the worst put-together websites I have ever seen.

It reminds me of my middle school days when AOL would give you enough room to make a really crappy website, and every kid made one and plastered them with tons of ugly, moving GIFs.

 

Man, that's really some class that guy has. I can't believe that an adult would type such trash. I don't care how bad you're hammering him or hammered him at the race...you don't publish such derogatory statements about some one. I know I won't go out to the his track. This a a good example of why you need to tape every run that is worthy of being taped.

 

Ok well the track was nice but they are really under man'd and because of that s*** happens thats why i stay at lonestar

Joe gives the money to who he chooses. Winner on the time slip means nothing.

 

Sounds like the guy needs to have his head smacked around. I cannot believe he would post such trash on his website and think that it wouldnt affect the amount of people showing up at his track

 

I hope nobody is at his event today but unfortunately for many, until he has taken earnings away from them they will continue to go out to his races.
