How much for a valve job? How much do you think it will raise the flow #'s? I am planning on doing Hotcam kit and ported stockers in late December/early January anyway. I might just pick these up to speed the install process and then sell mine. Thanks,
Kyle

a valve job is $100. That is basically using stones and not changing the seat angles/widths. This valve job will pick up some cfm but a nice valve job on a serdi or sunnen with a better cutter will yield better results. This kinda valve job is $200. You may find some one closer to you that could do a valvjob cheaper but this is what my machine shop guy charges.

NightTrain, I'm actually having Joe (Smoke T/A) do the install and am meeting him in Dallas area. Where are you located at. I'm am trying to lower the down time for my car and help Joe out. What kind of CFM pickup do you think it will pick up with the $100 and $200 valve job? Trying to get my ducks in a row soon. Very interested,
Kyle

just cleaning valves and basic valve job maybe 3-5 cfm intake and exhaust at peak. The low-mid #s should pick up more.
The better valvejob may pick up 5-10 cfm at peak and make MORE diff at low and mid lift.
It is kind of hard to put an exact # on but I can promise ya it is worth it.
The only reason to skimp on the valvejob is if ya can not afford it.
The better valvejob is really the place to start even if ya have to skimp a lil on portwork in my opinion. The portwork is already done on these but if ya are gonna get heads ported and a good valvejob but can not afford both it is better to get a lil less expensive portjob and the best valvejob ya can realistically afford. Obviously the best way would be the better portjob and better valvejob but if ya have to skimp on something I think the valvejob is the more important.
