Hey I was just curious as to how many of you were from around there or near by, or need an extra helping hand or anything just making local conversation

 

Hey, I live in Garland, but am in College Station for school. I know there are a lot of f-body guys in that area, just not a whole heck of a lot of them post here. I know there are quite a few over at LS1.com.

Rowlett for now. If you're in the area on Thursday evenings, a local Hot Rod Car Club holds a GTG at a church parking lot next to Sammy Walker's Bar-B-Q at Dalrock and highway 66 (Lakeview Parkway). Their first car show will be April 25th.

97RedSS, I plan to go to the GTG next Thurs (too much rain this week!). Maybe I'll see you there. Still not many F-bodies showing up on Thursdays, even last summer...

 

Hey I met 97 red ss at the circuit city car meet at 75 and parker a long time ago, and i live in plano at spring creek and coit, not far from you 4drss....

 

I've worked at that Circuit City the last two summers, christmases and the whole year before that. I used to have an '85 Blue Iroc with white racing stripes. This summer I had/have a '95 White Z28 with a black tail panel. A few friends of mine that worked up there were the ones that started that GTG (although they drive 'stangs! )

I probably saw you guys out there once or twice!

 

I live in The Colony, work in Frisco, and go to school in Plano. Are there any f body meets in Plano or close to it cause there sure aren't any in The Colony! I'm putting way to much mileage on my 91 driving between the three cities!

The guy who owned the property there put up a huge fit about the GTG. He even made all the businesses in that center pay for the extra cops that enforced the people not to come! That guy was a jackass.


ZRatedLS1: I live off Garland Rd. and 190, in Firewheel. Well, actually, my parents are living in an apartment down the street on Renner becuase our house had a pretty decent fire on Thanksgiving and they've gutted the thing! But anyways, I'm from right around there.

 

I think the circuit city meet went south partly because also the sports bike guys were doing burnouts and stuff....maybe...

 

well actually I forgot to put that. The reason the owner got so mad about it was because there were a few riders that had been burning-out and then ran from the cops so they complained to the owner. That's when he hired them to stay up there and make everyone leave. HAHA, I remember when I got off work one time we just sat in front of the store and watched them pull one ricer after another over for stupid stuff like no front plate or not using their blinkers. Stupid cops just being jackasses.
