Damn my face is kinda red...!!!

Nice event overall, though. We headed back around 1pm already since it got kinda hot...

That red Suburban was probably running better times than my Firebird would ever run... I think it ran something like 17.xx.

It was a great show with lots to see and do. I must say, I was VERY impressed the free stuff SLP gave away in their gift bags - T-Shirt, hat, pin, stickers, badge, etc.

Hehe...I saw the Suburban, but what about brand new Buick Regal that someonce raced during the morning run!??!? That really caught me off guard!

I suppose my only complaint would be the lack of free water. "Nature's bounty" seemed sort of pricey on a 100 degree day, IMO. And my face and arms look like a cooked lobster...

I had a good time too. It was HOT! I love the C5 vette that broke out in the first round of bracket racing on purpose by running a 10.89 on a 12 something dial ( read no cage). Nothing like breaking out with a bang. There were a couple of cars in the car show that were nothing short of domestic rice though . All in all a great time though.

I had a great time, I got sunburned pretty bad and ended up leaving at about 3PM. But, judging by the line leaving the place I wasn't the only one that was fried.

I had a good time too. I got the REDNECK though.

I also got down to the final 6 out of 250 F-bodies before I red lighted.

BTW, the final 6 cars consisted of 4 LT1's and 2 LS1's.

Any of you get ticketed?
Did you all hear about the 28 or so people that got tickets? I got one in Corsicana... Looking for a lawyer right now.

If you know of one, lemme know.

Anyways, I had fun.. The burnouts were decent. Turning new bridgestones to nothing over a gift certificate is plain idiocy.

Yup! How cool was that?! I broke out by .03 in that round - and the eventual winner - the other white Z w/ black stripes - broke out by .02. Was a very close race at the end.

Had a great time - just was way hot and miserable... and it's hard to shift w/ sweaty hands! (luckily my bottle was open to make up time lost if I missed a shift )

Shawn... which car were you?
I was the red 96 Z. I was very slow, but consistently slow.

I never lost a race between LS1 or other, but I got in a little hurry and a little anxious with the thought that I might make it to the finals. Red lighted with a .428.

I know about the slick shifts due to sweat, twice I missed 3rd, but luckily I was far enough ahead both times it didn't matter.

I suspect there was a lot people there that didn't know how to drive.

Had an awesome time! Yea, the sun was hot, and I also got burned n my face, but it was worth it

A lot of people left early, including 3 people whose names were drwan for the Camaro rims with the F1 tires ....

And yea, the guy smoking his tires down to the belts was kinda strange. Ahh well, it was cool to see the tower dissapear in white smoke

It was fun wasn't it? I heard the guy with the silver Z28 with ghost flames on it won the car show. I don't remember seeing it, but hell, we left at 3:00 cause it was so hot. There were some beautiful cars out there. I ran on my first 1/4 mile track and didn't do too bad. I had a really good time.
