http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...threadid=39678

he works at a shop maybe he can hook you up or something? Just a thought.
On a side note i cant get a hold of a girl there to see if she got my fax or not yesterday. Can you tell me if shes even working(or even in Austin) name is Michelle Smith. I dont know if you all do everything in house or not.

I forgot about that thread. I need to fix it soon though. It is starting to scare the hell out of me. I've read a couple of quick fixes for it but am not sure that is even what it is. I did a search for Michelle Smith but only found a claims manager and and a medical rep. Neither are in Austin. Did you fax it a local # and was it concerning the job? If so, you can probabl;y just call the Human resources 800# and have them verify if all of the information was received. Or, just come by and ask to speak to someone in Recruiting and see if there is anything else that is needed.

umm actually i finally got a hold of her and she finally got my fax after 4 times thanks for the help anyways.

My father has a friend who builds top alchohol drag racing boats, and has a car customization shop. I dont know the guy personally but i might be able to get my dad to hook you up. I know there in Round Rock though.

I was thinking brake check(or something like that) did free alignment checks not to long ago. but im not for sure.

I really dont know any reputable shops in Austin though.

I was thinking break check as well, but they don't anymore. I guess I'm going to have to break down and take it somewhere. I just always feel like they just start naming some front end parts and charge you for replacing them whether you need them or not. "It's bound to be one of the parts we replaced" lol Let me know if you hear something about the job.

Damn this thing I wrote a 2 page response and i had too many smilies and it didnt save it when i went back.

What i said was that ill check on the shop for you but you might in the end probably jsut have to pay someone anyways.

then i said that i finally got to talk to Michelle but it was like 10 till 5. She said that that was all taht was left for my application process. But it will probably be my luck that i barely miss out because of an "error" that was no ones fault at all.

Then i got into a rant that went like this.

I did have a great day though. A guy moved down here from the panhandle and he does pro drag racing. He used to have a 3rd gen iroc that was in the ~6 second range and now hes got a cavalier that is about the same. basically he flipped the camaro at ~180MPH and he still races but he wants someone else to do it for him(hes like 295lbs atleast).(so my mother and her friend tell me)
So anyways the guy moved down here and is leasing a 6 car garage from my moms best friend of 30 years. Well basically i go over to see this "cavalier" my mom isnt great about explaining cars. Well i get there and its a cavalier all right. Solid fiberglass body plexiglass huge tires. And one mean *** engine.
So basically i hang out with the guy and i help him move some stuff into the garage.
Well after were done he gives me a $100 bill for like 45 minutes of work. I give it back and of course he gives it back and makes me keep it(like i didnt want to )
Anyways he starts talking about racing and he asks if i do any or not. Well we all know the answer to that. And he starts asking questions to test my knowledge of cars. And ive learned alot from the board(thank god) so i gave him enough proof that i wasnt a "ricer". So he tells me that he would like me to come to the races with him everytime he goes. So i say sure and so on.

Well then he gets into asking me questions about me and my age etc. and tells me he thinks im old enough to get liscensed for racing(i guess you have to have a liscense when your pro ) So anyways he tells me that if i come and help him out hell start teaching me to drive the car to its potential( i told him i couldnt handle the car if i wanted to) plus hell pay me. So now im like
then he asks what i have done/want to do to my car and i explain and he tells me he has everything but heads and a cam to build me a 383. And when i asked how much he wanted for it he told me smiling "I think we can work something out"
I was like because basically he has just told me. Ill pay you to learn to drive this car, ill install mods for you, pay you to race the car, and build you a motor just to have to drive this car.
I thought i was dreaming. And im still smiling.
Sorry its so long but ive been waiting an hour to tell someone.

its not definite that ill get to drive this car in his place. but atleast i know i get to learn how. And i get mods/money for it. So who cares.
