Nah its not a waste... it will accomplish the goals i want with my car. Besides ive seen mid 11's on a hotcam if done properly. Besides im leaning more toward getting very good on a bike.

I would much prefer to race the bike on a course than drive the car fastest in a straight line.

So im just thinking hotcam, new wheels, paint, leather, t-tops.

Then getting my neighbors 400EX for a 4-wheeler

And going all out on a bike... except i cant decide what bike... GSXR-750/600... honda 600rr, F4I, RC51(loved riding it) more or less some bikes in the 600-750 cc range.

Liter bikes i would be slower on anyways because im far from being that good.

Plus i dont wanna be one of those guys getting lapped by 600cc bikes while on my Busa or Gixxer1K

That was funny watching that a few weeks ago.

Well actuall i think it was 11.7 with lots of tuning and suspension mods. Not that i was to get that far with just a hotcam. Mid 12's is fine.
As for KC hes mentioned he has a Hawk for sale to me quiet a few times its just not the bike im looking for.

I know for a fact im faster on the smaller bikes than liter bikes. Plus im not a fan of the naked stuff(but for some reason i thought his had a faring??)

Oh well. Maybe he will pay for the damn thing and keep it so we can ride up in Austin of something

Hey, you're reading my mind. I am halfway with the car; Hotcam and heads, and just need the leather and T-tops. Then it's bike time. I will probably start a little lower on the power level thoough, since I haven't ridden in about 15 years. I think I will start with a Kawi 500 Ninja and after getting my feet wet again, move up to a newer, nicer 600cc. As far as the hotcam, I love it, as it is definatley in the mid 12 range and still gets 20mpg and stock driveability with a little lope.

Sweet. Found someone to ride with then. Actually i know about 40 guys in Austin to ride with but they are all l33t riders and sh*t.

Id go smaller but im going to be practicing on some older 600's until i am finally able to pay cash for the new bike(yep cash). That will give me a month or two to get back up to speed on riding.

been less than 15 years for me though

old bastage

I would go with the new R6..I have nothing negative to say about mine at all..My buddy has a new 600RR and its "ok"
It doesnt corner nearly as good and I cant stand the exhaust coming out the back under the seat..If you get a chance look how much room you have for storage on the 600RR You can barey fit your registration card in there..

How much is your friend selling his 400EX for? Ive got a 2001 400EX and Im selling it for $4100..Ive ridden it less than 10times and it has 8hrs on it..It hasnt been ridden in the last 1.5 yrs..

$2850 for the 400EX

As for the R6 vs 600RR i heard the RR was silky smooth when putting it down. Though i cant argue with the R6, very nice bike.

I'll Sell you My R6 .

It's a 2001 Yamaha YZF-R6 with 5,600 Miles on it.

It has a D&D SlipOn and went 11.0 @ 127 MPH a few months ago at RiverCity RaceWay.

And id definently buy it from you. Except im not looking to buy another bike till about October or so.

Maybe if you still have it by then...

Your bike hasnt been touched that much has it? I mean you havent hacked it to hell for drag racing or anything right?

I want the bike to go out cruising the twisties and make a few track days as well.
