Need Help

I am having trouble getting fire from the distributor. I have replaced the cap the rotor the coil and tested the module and tested the pick up for ressistance. I have an early model HEI distributor on a small block 350. Any ideas? I am getting power from the ignition wire.

Exclamation Hmmmm ....

I don't know what vehicle this is in, but I do know that years ago I had a '75 GMC 1/2 ton P/U w/ a 350 & HEI.

I went out to start her up and she would crank, but never light up.

One of the other guys at the dorm told me about this short fuse in the wiring loom that is real close to the firewall - I to this day don't know it's purpose, but when i replaced it the truck fired right up !

Given everything else you have replaced, it is worth a shot.

Good Luck !
