My Z28

I bought my 1993 brand new off the lot at Reliable Chevrolet in Richardson like 11 years ago, now my wife wants me to sell it because its takin up 1/2 the garage and I don't drive it much anymore (Not to mention the $500 per year in Insurance). It needs some minor trim work and a new driver's side auto window. I want to give it to my 5 yr. old son. What do you guys think? Is the fact that Chevrolet does not make the Camero anymore make it more collectable? Should I go ahead and spend some more on it now, to get it back into shape? Should I dump my wife for even suggesting this? I would appreciate your responses.

Let me ask you some questions instead...

Do you love that car?
Are you your own man?
Are your ***** still attached?

....I think you know the answer from there as to what you should do.

BTW-Welcome to the board.

I'm 21 and my '95 Z28 costs me only $360 every 6 months! I even have a ticket on my record. I guess it's nice to be on your family's personal business account with 6 other cars!

Oh and by the way, you'd be crazy to sell that. You've kept it this long you might as well keep it til your son is ready to drive. That's something he'll cherish always!

I'm assuming your not on the $50 a month for 440 month payment plan and the 28 is paid for. I'd just keep it, drop it from insurance if the 500 a year bothers that much and throw a cover over it. No point in selling it now for sub 5K.
