maybe I can hang with some of these killer 4th gens now
Went for a little drive on Sunday. From the chevron station on University and texas (about even with the gas pumps), to the first instersection at the polo field (heading towards north gate), my little crappy 3rd gen got about 115-120mph, just running 2nd, 3rd and 4th.. (and with 2 extra people in the car). Needless to say its running a little better now.
If you see a 3rd gen with lame paint around.. throw me a rev..
Maybe we can play.
Oh yeah.. for those who are not familar with the distance.. its right about .2 miles.
Sounds like rain for the rest of this week.. for that reason, I probably won't b out and about much myself.

Ten is getting near my bedtime.. but i will make it out there in the next few weeks... (more of a hastings bryan regular than anything).

I get the impression that some are a little defensive
The tone of my post (as most I have posted) is usually pretty
innocuous. As I indicated, I don't make it out there often because of the time (and up to this point, the preparation of the car). But, for some people,, I am inclinded to make a specific exception.
My posts in the past have rarely said anything about the specific performance of my car. Only recently has the performance improved and my comments were directly related to that, and even still, I kept my comments reserved.
Conversely, many 4th gen owners rarely are at a loss for comments on the exceptional performance of their cars (at least what I have seen on this forum).
Its not my intention to start another one of the my-car this and that threads.. if you can't take a little friendly ribbing without being offended, I guess this exchange is finished.
The comment about showing what you got can work both ways.. why are there rarely collegestation guys that show up at the hastings? (must be a !carb thing.. )

Rarely does the term "sarcasm" imply a positive exchange.. and I just wanted to make it understood (at least from my perspective), I had not intended anything negative (from the first post).

ok, no problem, misscommunication happens here all the time cause its hard to read between the lines...I assumed "lame paint" meant primer and stuff..my mistake...again..no flame intended, just want to know who you are since the only fast non-4th gens we have around that everybody knows of is Ed...but he lets EVERYBODY know lol
